Mormon Pioneer Bread Recipe

I came across this little recipe in my many Google searches. I regret that I don't know where I found it. We used it in Young Women's one night. It is a great recipe because you just plop it all in, wait 30 minutes, knead and bake. We used it as Sacrament Bread in our ward for a few weeks. My family loves it!

4 Eggs
1 t. Salt
3 T Yeast
1/2 C Shortening
1/2 C Sugar
1 qt. Water, warm
12 C Flour

Mix all ingredients well. Cover and let rise for 30 minutes. Place on a floured surface and knead for 7 minutes. Shape into loaves or rolls. Bake in a 350-degree oven for 30 minutes.

Yield: 3 large loaves
